Jonathan M. Pargament, M.D.
Jonathan M. Pargament, M.D. is an oculofacial plastic surgeon at the Cincinnati Eye Institute. He was born and raised in Toledo, OH and attended the University of Michigan for his undergraduate studies. He received his medical degree and ophthalmology residency training from the University of Cincinnati. He then completed a rigorous three-year fellowship sponsored by the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the prestigious Center for Facial Appearances in Salt Lake City, Utah where he performed over 2,500 cosmetic and reconstructive procedures of the face, eyelids, orbit and tear drain system.
Dr. Pargament’s clinical interests are in aesthetic surgery of the face (endoscopic brow lifts, lower lid bags), correction of eyelid malpositions (drooping lids), reconstructive surgery of the eyelids and orbit (Mohs surgery, orbital fractures) and tear drain surgery (watery eye). He is experienced in endoscopic, minimally invasive techniques and believes in using a combination of non-surgical and surgical approaches for facial rejuvenation including neurotoxins, dermal fillers, and fat transfer surgery.
Dr. Pargament is a board-certified member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and has professional affiliations with the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Pargament is an Assistant Professor at the University of Cincinnati and has authored numerous book chapters and peer-reviewed journal articles.
Outside of work, Dr. Pargament enjoys spending time with his wife, Laura, and their rescue lab, Jiambu. He loves fly-fishing and enjoys the adventure of international travel.
Dr. Pargament sees patients at the West Side, Good Samaritan, Blue Ash and Northern Kentucky offices as well as at the Face and Eye Aesthetic Center in Blue Ash.
Ginger L. Henson, M.D.
Dr. Henson specializes in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. This subspecialty of Ophthalmology focuses on both cosmetic and functional problems of the eyelids, eyebrows, lacrimal system and orbit. She performs a variety of surgeries to correct drooping upper eyelids, bags under the eyes, excessive tearing and eye socket problems. In addition, Dr. Henson is available for consultation at the new Face and Eye Aesthetic Center for patients interested in cosmetic facial rejuvenation. She offers a variety of non-surgical treatments including Botox, facial fillers, and CO2 laser resurfacing of the skin. Dr. Henson is a graduate of Miami University and received her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. She completed her residency in Ophthalmology and fellowship in pediatric eye diseases at the prestigious Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Florida. Dr. Henson then returned to Cincinnati to complete her fellowship in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Cincinnati Eye Institute. She joined CEI in 2011. Dr. Henson is Board Certified in Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. She is a member of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus.
Dwight R. Kulwin, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dwight R. Kulwin, M.D., F.A.C.S. is an Ophthalmic plastic surgeon at Cincinnati Eye Institute (CEI). He is a graduate of University of Illinois and received his medical training at University of Chicago College of Medicine. After completing his Residency training in Ophthalmology, he completed a Fellowship in the specialty of Ophthalmic Plastic surgery at University of Texas. He is currently an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and head of the Section of Ophthalmic, Plastic, Reconstructive and Orbital Surgery. He is a member of American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and was given the honor of delivering the prestigious Wendell L. Hughes Lecture at the American Academy of Ophthalmology in 1996.
Dr. Kulwin is Board Certified in Ophthalmology, a Diplomate of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Kulwin has written over 100 articles and book chapters on eye plastic surgery and has lectured widely throughout the United States and abroad. He is nationally recognized in Best Doctors in America and has been listed in Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare.
Jeffrey A. Nerad, M.D.
Dr. Nerad specializes in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. This subspecialty of ophthalmology combines eye surgery and plastic surgery, correcting cosmetic and reconstructive problems of the eyelids and the tissue of the face surrounding the eyes. Dr. Nerad performs a wide variety of operations for drooping eyelids, watery eyes, and eye socket problems, including thyroid eye disease. Dr. Nerad offers medical, laser and surgical correction of cosmetic facial problems, especially upper and lower eyelid blepharoplasty, as well as treatment of facial wrinkling and sagging. He is considered an international expert in treating orbital diseases. Consultations for adults and children are available with or without referral from other physicians and surgeons.
Dr. Nerad joined the Cincinnati Eye Institute in 2009. Prior to his arrival, he held the position of Professor of Ophthalmology & Otolaryngology at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa for over 20 years. At the University, he was the Director of the Oculoplastic and Orbital Surgery Service where he performed over 1000 surgeries each year. In 2008, he was awarded the Fuerste Professorship of Ophthalmology for his patient care, teaching and research. During his career as a surgeon and educator, Dr. Nerad has trained hundreds of resident and fellow physicians who now practice throughout the world.
Dr. Nerad attended the University of California for undergraduate training. He completed medical school and residency training at Saint Louis University. Dr. Nerad did fellowship training in Moorfields Eye Hospital in London and at the University of Iowa.
Dr. Nerad is Board Certified in Ophthalmology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is a member of the American and European Societies of Oculoplastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the American Academy of Facial Plastic Surgeons, and the prestigious Orbital Society. Dr. Nerad served on the board of directors of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery for 5 years and was president of the society in 2010. Dr Nerad has been awarded the Honor and Senior Honor Awards from the American Academy of Ophthalmology and been named among the Best Doctors in America for 20 years. Dr. Nerad has published over 100 scientific papers on a wide variety of topics related to eyelid and orbital surgery. He serves on the editorial boards of several professional journals. He has authored and coauthored several textbooks which are among the most widely referred to texts in his area. His latest textbook, Techniques in Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery, was released in 2010. A new edition will be as amiable in 2017. He is a sought after lecturer nationally and has lectured in more than 30 countries across the globe. He is married and the proud father of two daughters.
