Dr. Kavitha Sivaraman is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in cataract and corneal surgery. She serves as both the Medical Director of Cincinnati Eye Institute and co-chair of the Clinical Governance Board.

Originally from Salt Lake City, Utah, Dr. Sivaraman completed her undergraduate education at the University of Southern California, where she was valedictorian of her graduating class. She went on to complete her medical education at Washington University in St. Louis, where she was a Philpot Family Scholar and elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. She completed her ophthalmology residency at the Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary at the University of Illinois at Chicago and was selected to be chief resident in her final year. Her fellowship in cornea and external disease was completed at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami (Miami, FL), consistently ranked the #1 Eye Hospital in the United States.

Dr. Sivaraman is committed to providing individualized and compassionate care. Her clinical interests include cataract surgery, corneal transplantation, and the medical treatment of corneal diseases. She is active in both clinical research and education. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, exploring the outdoors and spending time with her husband and two young children.
