![]() Ramesh M. Kode, M.D. is a native Cincinnatian and attended Xavier University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1987. He is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of the University Scholars program and was also inducted into the Alpha Sigma Nu Honorary Society. He received his Doctor of Medicine Degree from University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in 1992. His medical education was highlighted by an extra year of Clinical and Research Clerkships in Ophthalmology. This included training at the Eye and Ear Institute at University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and the Wilmer Ophthalmological Institute at Johns Hopkins Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland. He completed his Internship and Residency in Ophthalmology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio. After completing a year of private practice in northern Ohio, Dr. Kode returned to Cincinnati and joined Cincinnati Eye Institute (CEI) in 1997. Dr. Kode has published and co-authored articles, journals, and textbook chapters and has presented his work at national ophthalmology meetings. Dr. Kode is a member of CEI's Ophthalmic Emergency Service. This subspecialty service has been created and developed at CEI and is dedicated to Ophthalmic urgencies and emergencies, ranging from corneal foreign bodies to the severely disrupted traumatized globe. This service is now staffed by four Ophthalmologists at CEI. In addition to seeing patients at CEI's Blue Ash office, Dr. Kode also sees patients at CEI's Anderson and Batavia offices. He provides comprehensive medical and surgical Ophthalmic care and specializes in sutureless, small-incision cataract surgery and laser surgical procedures. Dr. Kode is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is a member of the American Medical Association, Ohio State Medical Association, and Cincinnati Academy of Medicine. He serves on the medical staff of Clermont and Anderson Mercy Hospitals, Bethesda North, Good Samaritan Hospital and Brown County General Hospital. |
