Michael L. Nordlund, M.D., Ph.D.

Michael L. Nordlund, M.D., Ph.D. is an ophthalmic surgeon specializing in corneal and ocular surface disease, cataracts and refractive surgery. Dr. Nordlund sees patients at the Blue Ash and Middletown offices in Ohio and at the Lawrenceburg, Indiana office.

Dr. Nordlund received his Doctorate Degrees in Medicine and Neuroscience from University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and completed a Residency in Ophthalmology at Kellogg Eye Center at the University of Michigan. He subsequently completed subspecialty training in corneal and ocular surface disease and cataract and refractive surgery prior to joining CEI.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Nordlund is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at University of Cincinnati. His work has been published in numerous scientific papers and he has authored several chapters in textbooks on the ocular surface, cornea and cataract surgery. Dr. Nordlund continues to lecture at national and international meetings on corneal and ocular surface disease and cataract surgery.

Dr. Nordlund has been recognized by "Best Doctors in America" and has been elected into several honor societies including Alpha Omega Alpha and the Society for Heed Fellows. He has received the Junior Achievement Award from American Academy of Ophthalmology and is active in the Eye Bank Association of America, the Cornea Society and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.
