![]() Jeffrey M. Zink, M.D. is a member of the Glaucoma Service at the Cincinnati Eye Institute. He is an Ohio native and a summa cum laude graduate of Bates College. He received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and received the Charles A. Oliver Award for Excellence in Ophthalmology. After finishing an internship in Internal Medicine at Pennsylvania Hospital, he completed his residency in Ophthalmology at the Kellogg Eye Center of the University of Michigan. During his residency, he was awarded two George Slocum Research Awards and served as Chief Resident in his final year. Subsequently, he did a fellowship in medical and surgical glaucoma at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, which is associated with the University of Miami School of Medicine. Dr. Zink has published a number of peer-reviewed articles in ophthalmic literature and has presented his studies at national meetings. His article in the British Journal of Ophthalmology on optic nerve blood flow was highlighted by the American Academy of Ophthalmology in the weekly newsletter Academy Express. He has a strong interest in all medical and surgical aspects of glaucoma, particularly glaucoma drainage implant surgery, filtering procedures and laser surgery. Dr. Zink also performs cataract and intraocular lens implant surgery, which is often combined with glaucoma procedures. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. Dr. Zink sees patients at the Edgewood office in Kentucky and the Blue Ash office in Cincinnati. Outside of medicine, Dr. Zink and his wife, Kate, enjoy spending time with their daughter. Dr. Zink also enjoys fishing and playing tennis. |
