 For a while, it looked as though glaucoma would interfere with the things Frank Clark enjoyed doing most: spending time with his nine-year-old son, riding his motorcycle and working out. Frank had been able to manage his glaucoma for years, but when the vision in one eye started to deteriorate, he was worried.
Frank saw Anup K. Khatana, M.D., a glaucoma and cataract specialist at CEI, who eventually inserted a shunt into Frank's eye to reduce the pressure. "Now my vision is as good as it was before the surgery, and may improve more as time goes on," Frank says. "I am able to work out again, and get back on my bike and ride."
