Financial Counselor

Meets with patients to explain clinic and/or ASC charges due, what amount is covered by insurance and what is due by the patient, and other billing questions.  Assists with applications for financial assistance.  Secures deposits from self-pay patients, establishes payment budgets for patients, etc.  Position requires background most often attained via Associates degree, along with at least 1 year of medical office billing and customer service experience.  Must be able to productively work independently and with others.  Based in Blue Ash.  May occasionally travel to other locations.  Must have reliable transportation.

Surgery Biller/Financial Counselor

Processes all aspects of billing for surgery center services.  Coordinates precertification for facility payments.  Determines what (if any) copayments are required.  Contacts patient to arrange payment of procedure.  Coordinates collection of payments with the front desk.  Assist to optimize surgical reimbursement.  Will also perform financial counselor duties for the Middletown clinic, including meeting with patients to explain clinic and/or ASC charges due, what amount is covered by insurance and what is due by the patient, and other billing questions.  Assists with applications for financial assistance.  Secures deposits from self-pay patients, establishes payment budgets for patients, etc.  Position requires background most often attained via Associates degree, along with at least 1 year of medical office billing and customer service experience.  Must be able to productively work independently and with others.  Based in Middletown.  May occasionally travel to other locations.  Must have reliable transportation.

Patient Services Professional

This position is one of CEI’s first opportunities to make a great impression!

  • Meets/greets patients upon arrival at check in.
  • Ensures patient information is obtained and entered into the practice management system prior to the patient seeing the physician/receiving services.
  • Scans patient insurance cards and collects copays.
  • Ensures paperwork/follow up appointments are made at check out.

Position is based in Anderson and will travel to Blue Ash and other locations as needed.  Requires a HS grad with previous data input experience and at least one year office experience. Previous medical office and/or customer service experience a plus. Candidate must be able to maintain a friendly, calm demeanor even during busy periods. Must have reliable transportation.

Ophthalmic Scribe/Tech

This position will scribe in a busy clinic. There are also tech and administrative responsibilities. Scribe functions include data entry into electronic patient record system as the clinic visit is occurring.  In some clinics, activities will include initiation of patient encounters with CC, HPI, visual acuity, tonometry, etc. Responsibilities also include management of task baskets and performance of patient communication/return calls. This position requires excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task, and ability to manage time efficiently. Attention to detail, strong computer ability and phone skills are important. There are some evening and Saturday hours. Requires HS grad.  Previous experience including COA, may be helpful, but is not required.  Based in Clifton Medical Office Building.

Maintenance Tech

Ensures building maintenance issues are addressed in a proactive and timely manner.  Primarily responsible for surveying and completing plumbing and electrical issues, but other areas will apply as well.  Will perform preventative maintenance per established schedule.  Will travel to other locations as needed.  Will help move boxes, make deliveries, assist with stocking as needed.  Requires at least HS grad (Assoc degree preferred) with at least 2 years of progressive building maintenance experience.  Position requires physical ability to push, lift, carry, bend in the course of daily duties.  Must have reliable transportation.

Surgery Scheduler

Responsible for coordinating surgical scheduling and patient counseling for comprehensive surgeon.  Also provides the insurance billing department information to properly bill the patient’s surgery.  Is responsible for the preparation of all necessary paperwork including consent forms, scheduling forms required by ASC or outside facility, obtains pre-certification from insurance carriers, maintains surgeon surgical calendar and notifies all individuals with need to know of schedule changes/cancellations/ surgeon out time.  Also performs all aspects of Visual Field, OCT, and any other anterior seg testing, while demonstrating excellent patient service.  Requires HS grad with previous medical office/scheduling experience.  Must have good computer skills and attention to detail.  Previous ophthalmic experience preferred.  Based at Anderson office with regular travel to Clermont, Red Bank, and Blue Ash locations.  Must have reliable transportation.

Ophthalmic Tech

This position performs initial test/screens for patients, including refractions, CC, HPI, visual acuity, tonometry, etc.  May also scribe, facilitate, manage task baskets, conduct patient communication/return calls.  Requires excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently, attention to detail, strong computer and phone skills.    Based at Blue Ash with potential travel to other locations.  Must have reliable transportation.  Requires HS grad.  Previous experience required.  COA, or COT strongly preferred.

RN

We are opening a new ASC in Middletown and seek RNs to work at least 32 hrs/week, with potential for additional hours.  This position provides care for patients and maintains a calm operating atmosphere while anticipating surgeons’ needs.  Duties include:

  • Will work in pre-op, OR, and/or recovery.
  • May help check-in patients for OR.
  • May check the patient chart for accuracy, prepare the holding room for the patient, ensure instruments are ready for procedures.
  • May complete H&P and nurse assessments; administer drops into the eyes as ordered by the surgeon, make pre operative phone calls to patients, and/or schedule future appointments for patients in our practice management system as needed.

Requires Ohio RN license and CPR certification. Computer experience preferred. Pre-op/OR/post-op experience preferred. ACLS preferred. Based in Middletown with potential travel to Blue Ash location.  Must have reliable transportation.

Surgical Tech

We're opening a new ASC in Middletown.  Immediate opportunities for Surgical Techs to work 32 hrs/week.  Potential for additional hours if desired.  This position:

  • establishes the sterile field and prepares all sterile equipment used for a particular operative procedure.
  • May also act as first surgical assistant to the surgeon.
  • Gathers all supplies needed for surgery.
  • Checks that all equipment is functioning properly prior to the start of each surgery.
  • Assists in restocking of supplies.

Based in Middletown with potential travel to our Blue Ash location.  Requires completion of accredited surgical technician course or equivalent work experience.  Must have current CPR certification.  Must have at least six months previous surgical technician experience.  CST preferred. Must have reliable transportation.

Ophthalmic Tech

Full time position working with busy comprehensive ophthalmologist in Anderson.  This position performs initial test/screens for patients, including CC, HPI, visual acuity, tonometry, etc. May also scribe, facilitate, manage task baskets, conduct patient communication/return calls.  Requires excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently, attention to detail, strong computer and phone skills.    Based at Anderson location with regular travel to Clermont and BA locations.  Must have reliable transportation.  Requires HS grad.  Previous experience required.  COA, or COT strongly preferred.

Nurse Assistant

Assists with nursing and non nursing related duties in the ASC.  Performs clerical and housekeeping related duties in Pre-Op/PACU.  Stocks areas, properly disposes of sharps containers, cleans and disinfects stretchers, equipment, etc. as needed.  Other duties as assigned.  May work occasional Saturdays.  Requires HS grad.  Previous nurse assisting experience helpful.  Must have/gain current CPR certification.

Ophthalmic Tech

This position in retina performs initial test/screens for patients, including CC, HPI, visual acuity, tonometry, etc. Will also scribe, facilitate, manage task baskets, conduct patient communication/return calls.     Requires excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently, attention to detail, strong computer and phone skills.    Based at Good Sam location with regular travel to Westside, CVD, and BA.  Currently scheduled to work Mon-Fri with occasional Saturdays.  Must have reliable transportation.  Requires HS grad.  Previous experience required.  COA, or COT strongly preferred.

RN

Full time and part time (20 hrs/week) positions provides care for patients and maintains a calm operating atmosphere while anticipating surgeons’ needs.  Duties include:

  • Will work in pre-op, OR, and/or recovery.
  • May help check-in patients for OR and/or laser treatments- YAG, Argon, and SLT.
  • May check the patient chart for accuracy, prepare the holding room for the patient, ensure instruments are ready for procedures.
  • May complete H&P and nurse assessments; administer drops into the eyes as ordered by the surgeon, make pre operative phone calls to patients, and/or schedule future appointments for patients in our practice management system as needed.

Requires Ohio RN license and CPR certification. Computer experience preferred. Pre-op/OR/post-op experience preferred. ACLS preferred. Based in Blue Ash with regular travel to west side location.  Must have reliable transportation.

Ophthalmic Technician

This position performs initial test/screens for patients, including CC, HPI, visual acuity, tonometry, etc. May also scribe, facilitate, manage task baskets, conduct patient communication/return calls.  Requires excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently, attention to detail, strong computer and phone skills.  May include one late night a week plus occasional Saturday mornings.  Based at Blue Ash office with occasional travel to other locations (all within Greater Cincinnati).  Must have reliable transportation.  Requires HS grad.  Previous experience, COA, or COT strongly preferred.
