Get to Know Dr. Donahue

Alyssa Donahue, O.D. completed her Bachelor of Science degree at Penn State University in the Schreyer Honors College. After, she completed her doctoral degree in Optometry at Salus University in Elkins Park, PA. During her training, Dr. Donahue completed externships in ocular disease as well as pediatric eye care and sees patients of all ages.

Dr. Donahue joined the Cincinnati Eye Institute to provide comprehensive eye care to patients in Mason, Ohio. Dr. Donahue sees patients with ocular emergencies including conditions such as conjunctivitis, iritis, diplopia, lid infections, etc. She prescribes eyeglasses and contacts and also treats visual disorders such as refractive amblyopia. She enjoys fitting specialty contact lenses, including scleral lenses, for patients with Keratoconus and irregular corneas. Dr. Donahue also diagnoses and co-manages ocular disease such as glaucoma, dry eye, blepharitis, cataracts, and macular degeneration. She provides post-operative care alongside Dr. Edward Meier.

In her free time, she enjoys yoga, running, and spending time with her husband and dog Molly in Loveland.
