Get to Know Dr. Pargament

Jonathan M. Pargament, M.D. is an oculofacial plastic surgeon at the Cincinnati Eye Institute. He was born and raised in Toledo, OH and attended the University of Michigan for his undergraduate studies. He received his medical degree and ophthalmology residency training from the University of Cincinnati. He then completed a rigorous three-year fellowship sponsored by the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Center for Facial Appearances in Salt Lake City, Utah. In the last 7 years he has performed over 4,500 cosmetic and reconstructive procedures of the face, eyelids, orbit and tear drain system.

Dr. Pargament’s clinical interests are in aesthetic surgery of the face (brow lifts, lower lid bags), correction of eyelid malpositions (drooping lids), and reconstructive surgery of the eyelids and orbit (Mohs surgery, orbital fractures) and tear drain surgery (watery eye).  He is experienced in endoscopic, minimally invasive techniques and believes in using a combination of non-surgical and surgical approaches for facial rejuvenation including neurotoxins, dermal fillers, and fat transfer surgery.

Dr. Pargament is a board-certified member of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons and American Academy of Ophthalmology.  As an Assistant Professor at the University of Cincinnati and the Cincinnati Veterans Administration Hospital, he mentors and trains ophthalmology and plastic surgery residents.  He had the honor of co-precepting CEI’s prestigious ASOPRS oculoplastic fellowship program and has also authored numerous book chapters and peer-reviewed journal articles.

Outside of work, Dr. Pargament enjoys spending time with his wife, Laura, their two children, Emmy and Hudson, and their rescue lab, Belle.  He loves fly-fishing and enjoys the adventure of international travel.

Dr. Pargament sees patients in Springboro, Maineville, Middletown and Blue Ash.
