Dr. Luke B. Lindsell received a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology from Wabash College in Indiana then attended Indiana University College of Optometry. He joined the Ophthalmology/Optometry Department at the Cincinnati Veterans Affairs Medical Center and after 3 years in practice at the Cincinnati VA, Dr. Lindsell returned to medical school at the University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine. Following graduation from medical school, he completed his intern year in Internal Medicine at The Christ Hospital followed by his Residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Cincinnati. He also served as Chief Resident in his final year. He concluded his training with a two-year Retina Fellowship in Washington, D.C. at The Retina Group of Washington, Georgetown University Hospital, and Washington Hospital Center.

Dr. Lindsell is an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Cincinnati, where he teaches residents and fellows in vitreoretinal surgery. He is actively engaged in clinical and scientific research. He has authored several articles in peer reviewed ophthalmic publications and presents regularly at scientific meetings. He served as an Investigator in a vitrectomy-scleral buckle retrospective study conducted by the University of Cincinnati, Department of Ophthalmology and the Cincinnati Eye Institute.

Dr. Lindsell specializes in medical and surgical diseases of the retina and vitreous including diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, complex retinal detachment, macular pucker, macular hole, retinal vascular diseases, uveitis, histoplasmosis, and complications of anterior segment surgery. He has special interests in ocular trauma, retinal imaging, and retinal electrophysiology.

He met his wife, Dr. Tonya Lindsell, in Bloomington, Indiana while attending Indiana University College of Optometry. She is in a private optometric practice in Kenwood and they have 3 children.
