Get to Know Dr. Straus

Dr. Tom F. Straus is a Cincinnati native. Outside of college and residency, he has lived in the area all of his life. He is an avid sports fan who has seen the highs and lows of our local teams. He enjoys travel, cooking, and hopes to get back into dog training in his retirement.

He joined the staff of Cincinnati Eye Institute (CEI) in 1996, after acquiring 15 years of experience as a solo practitioner in Middletown, Ohio, performing general medical and surgical ophthalmology. He was certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology in 1982. After 39+ years of active practice, he is going to retire from daily clinic responsibilities. He will continue to perform laser procedures for patients at the Middletown Surgery Center.

Dr. Straus currently serves on the medical staff of Atrium Medical Center and is active in Medical Staff Leadership.
