Ophthalmic Tech

Full time.  Performs initial history taking test/screens of glaucoma patients. May also perform scribe duties.  May assist in handling patient tasks from intake /dictation review and prescription refills.   May float within the glaucoma pod.   Based in Blue Ash and may travel to other locations as needed.  Must have reliable transportation.    Requires HS grad and great attitude.  Previous experience strongly preferred.  COA a plus.

Patient Services EXPEDITER

Full time position.  Meet and greet patients entering the office.  Explain check in procedures and distribute update sheets for patients to complete.  Smile and maintain a courteous, professional demeanor at all times. Serve as a primary contact for all patients in reception areas and assist patients with any needs.  Direct patients to correct location and provide updates as needed. Update and input practice management system information regarding patients (i.e. insurance, address, phone, etc.). Scan insurance cards and identification into the practice management system. Consistently obtains and records patient email address, PCP, and optometrist name. Collect co-pays and payment on accounts, including balance due.  Record all payments with receipt in the patient management system or on the excel ROA sheet ensuring that all receipts balance.  Requires HS grad with at least one year of medical office experience.  Previous front desk, as well as practice management software experience preferred.

Patient Portal Specialist

This position is responsible for the ongoing support and maintenance of our EHR Patient Portal System.  Provides telephone support for patients needing assistance.  Manages portal templates, documents, and functionality.  Performs regular configuration checks and conducts troubleshooting as needed.  Assists the HIM dept in all aspects of scanning and telephone support.  Position requires HS grad (Assoc degree preferred) along with at least one year of medical office experience.  Position is sedentary in nature; the majority of the time is work performed while on the phone.  Must be able to maintain calm, reassuring demeanor.  Interest and familiarity with computers and software a plus.

OPHTHALMIC TECH (satellite float)

Full time position.  Great opportunity for one who likes variety.  This position performs initial test/screens for patients, including CC, HPI, visual acuity, tonometry, etc. May also scribe, facilitate, manage task baskets, conduct patient communication/return calls.   Requires excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently, attention to detail, strong computer and phone skills.  Based at the RedBank office, will float to satellite offices on a regular basis.  Must have reliable transportation.  Requires HS grad.  Previous experience, COA, or COT strongly preferred.
