Patient Services Professional

Full time position. This position is one of CEI’s first opportunities to make a great impression. Meets/greets patients upon arrival at check in. Ensures patient information is obtained and entered into the practice management system prior to the patient seeing the physician/receiving services. Scans patient insurance cards and collects co-pays/deductibles. Ensures paperwork/follow up appointments are made at check out.  Full time with alternating Saturdays. Requires a HS grad with previous data input experience and at least one year office experience. Previous medical office and/or customer service experience a plus. Candidate must be able to maintain a friendly, calm demeanor even during busy periods. May float to other locations (all within Greater Cincinnati) as needed.  Must have reliable transportation.

Surgical Tech

Full time position.  This position establishes the sterile field and prepares all sterile equipment used for a particular operative procedure.  May also act as first surgical assistant to the surgeon.  Gathers all supplies needed for surgery.  Checks that all equipment is functioning properly prior to the start of each surgery.  Assists in restocking of supplies and turnover of rooms.  Requires completion of accredited surgical technician course or equivalent work experience.  Must have current CPR certification.  Must have at least six months previous surgical technician experience.  CST preferred.

Ophthalmic Technician

This position performs initial test/screens for patients, including CC, HPI, visual acuity, tonometry, etc for busy refractive surgeon.  May also scribe, facilitate, manage task baskets, conduct patient communication/return calls.  Requires excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently, attention to detail, strong computer and phone skills.  Will include one late night a week plus occasional Saturday mornings.  Based at Blue Ash office with regular travel to Middletown.  Must have reliable transportation.  Requires HS grad.  Previous experience, COA, or COT strongly preferred.

Ophthalmic Tech Trainee

Great opportunity for one who desires to become an ophthalmic technician. Will participate in a 8 week training program through various specialty departments, while also taking advantage of home study opportunities. Upon completion of program, will be placed in a department with a technician opening. Training will be primarily M-F, but may involve occasional Saturdays and/or evenings. When training is complete, placement position will likely involve at least one late evening and rotating Saturdays. Requires HS grad. Previous medical office experience preferred. Must have a true desire to work with patients. Requires patience and compassion, along with attention to detail. Expectation is for candidate to pass COA exam within 18 months. Upon completion of training program, candidate must be willing/able to accept a placement at any of our locations.

Patient Intake Representative

This position is truly our first contact with our patients; therefore, making a great first impression is paramount.  Responsibilities include: promptly answer, triage, and direct incoming calls from patients, employees and other health professionals in a professional and polite manner; schedule patient appointments following scheduling guidelines and approved script while adhering to patient confidentiality at all times; direct messages to appropriate staff ensuring that messages are clear and distributed promptly.  Also will prepare and mail patient packets within one day of scheduling; handle inquiries about directions, hours, services, locations, and physicians.  Position requires patient, physician, staff, vendor, and general public telephonic contact.  Must exhibit pleasant phone voice, good manners, be professional in conduct, and have the ability to listen.  Must also demonstrate skill in operating a computer and answering a multi-line phone system and type 35 wpm.   Requires HS grad.  Previous medical office experience preferred.
