Ophthalmic Tech

This full time position performs initial test/screens for patients, including CC, HPI, visual acuity, tonometry, etc. May also scribe, facilitate, manage task baskets, conduct patient communication/return calls.   Will support one or more glaucoma surgeons.  Requires excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently, attention to detail, strong computer and phone skills.  Will include one late night a week plus occasional Saturday mornings.  Based at Blue Ash with occasional travel to satellite offices.  Must have reliable transportation.  Requires HS grad.  Previous experience, COA, or COT strongly preferred.

Ophthalmic Scribe/Tech

This full time position accurately and effectively documents the patient exam while exam is occurring, as dictated by the MD.  May also perform some technician duties, process task basket orders, manage outside testing orders/results, code fee tickets, conduct patient communication/return calls, resolve billing errors, etc. May also facilitate for MD so that clinic runs smoothly.  Schedule includes two regular days and two-three later nights (7p-8p).  Requires HS grad.  Previous experience helpful.  COA preferred but not required.   Based at Clifton office with regular travel to Blue Ash.  Must have reliable transportation.

Patient Services Professional

This position is one of CEI’s first opportunities to make a great impression. Meets/greets patients upon arrival at check in. Ensures patient information is obtained and entered into the practice management system prior to the patient seeing the physician/receiving services. Scans patient insurance cards and collects co-pays/deductibles. Ensures paperwork/follow up appointments are made at check out.  Full time with alternating Saturdays. Requires a HS grad with previous data input experience and at least one year office experience. Previous medical office and/or customer service experience a plus. Candidate must be able to maintain a friendly, calm demeanor even during busy periods. Will float to other locations (all within Greater Cincinnati) as needed.  Must have reliable transportation.

Ophthalmic Tech

RN – PreAdmission Testing

3 days/week.  Compiles comprehensive PAT file for each surgical patient.  No direct patient care.  Conducts phone or in-person interview to collect medical and medication history.  Has frequent phone contact with referring doctor office regarding patient history and pre-op testing, as well as in house surgery scheduling staff.   Spends majority of the time on the phone and/or entering information into multiple databases.  Must have good phone and computer skills.  Requires current Ohio RN license with at least 3 years broad med/surg RN experience.  Previous PAT experience a real plus.

Ophthalmic Tech

Full time for busy corneal surgeon.  This position performs initial test/screens for patients, including CC, HPI, visual acuity, tonometry, etc. May also scribe, facilitate, manage task baskets, conduct patient communication/return calls.   Requires excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently, attention to detail, strong computer and phone skills.  Based at Blue Ash, with travel to NKY.  Must have reliable transportation.  Requires HS grad.  Previous experience, COA, or COT strongly preferred.

scribe/facilitator

Full time position.  This position performs primarily as a scribe for the physician – will accurately and effectively document the patient exam while exam is occurring, as dictated by the MD.  May also process task basket orders, manage outside testing orders/results, code fee tickets, conduct patient communication/return calls, resolve billing errors, etc. Will also facilitate for MD so that clinic runs smoothly.  Requires HS grad.  Previous experience helpful.  COA or COT preferred. Based at NKY office with regular travel to Blue Ash.  Must have reliable transportation.

RN

Full time and part time positions. Provides care for patients and maintains a calm operating atmosphere while anticipating surgeons’ needs. Duties include:

  • Will work in pre-op, OR, and/or recovery.
  • May help check-in patients for OR and/or laser treatments- YAG, Argon, and SLT.
  • May check the patient chart for accuracy, prepare the holding room for the patient, ensure instruments are ready for procedures.
  • May complete H&P and nurse assessments; administer drops into the eyes as ordered by the surgeon, make pre operative phone calls to patients, and/or schedule future appointments for patients in our practice management system as needed.

Requires Ohio RN license and CPR certification. Computer experience preferred. Pre-op/OR/post-op experience preferred. ACLS preferred.

Ophthalmic Tech – Float

Full time. Great opportunity for one who likes variety. This position performs initial test/screens for patients, including CC, HPI, visual acuity, tonometry, etc. May also scribe, facilitate, manage task baskets, conduct patient communication/return calls. Requires excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently, attention to detail, strong computer and phone skills. Based at Blue Ash, will float to various clinic departments as needed. Must have reliable transportation. Requires HS grad. Previous experience, COA, or COT strongly preferred.
