Performs all aspects of Visual Field testing, while demonstrating excellent patient service.  Requires HS grad.

As a member of the Patient Accounts department, this position processes insurance and patient receipts, updates the cash management log, contacts insurance companies to resolve incorrect payments, works the credit balance report and write up refunds, posts insurance denials.  Position requires HS grad with medical office/billing experience.  Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, PPO, WC, and other insurance helpful.

Ophthalmic Tech – Satellite Float

This position performs initial test/screens for patients, including CC, HPI, visual acuity, tonometry, etc. Will also scribe, facilitate, manage task baskets, conduct patient communication/return calls.     Requires excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently, attention to detail, strong computer and phone skills.  Will cover satellite vacancies on short or medium term basis.  Regular travel to other offices.  Must have reliable transportation.  Requires HS grad.  Previous experience required.  COA, or COT strongly preferred.

Patient Services Professional

This position is one of CEI’s first opportunities to make a great impression. Meets/greets patients upon arrival at check in. Ensures patient information is obtained and entered into the practice management system prior to the patient seeing the physician/receiving services. Scans patient insurance cards and collects co-pays/deductibles. Ensures paperwork/follow up appointments are made at check out.  Full time with alternating Saturdays. Requires a HS grad with previous data input experience and at least one year office experience. Previous medical office and/or customer service experience a plus. Candidate must be able to maintain a friendly, calm demeanor even during busy periods. May occasionally float to other locations (all within Greater Cincinnati) as needed.  Must have reliable transportation.

Ophthalmic Tech Trainee

Great opportunity for one who desires to become an ophthalmic technician.  Will participate in a 8 week training program through various specialty departments, while also taking advantage of home study opportunities.  Upon completion of program, will be placed in a department with a technician opening.  Training will be primarily M-F, but may involve occasional Saturdays and/or evenings.  When training is complete, placement position will likely involve at least one late evening and rotating Saturdays.  Requires HS grad.  Previous medical office experience preferred.  Must have a true desire to work with patients.  Requires patience and compassion, along with attention to detail.  Expectation is for candidate to pass COA exam within 18 months.  Upon completion of training program, candidate must be willing/able to accept a placement at any of our locations.

Glaucoma Triage

Full time position.  Manages calls and questions from patients and staff members.  Receives calls not handled by Patient Intake, decides appropriate action and/or speaks directly with doctor or clinic manager, then executes plan (makes appointment, calls in eye drops, etc).  Documents all activity in patient record.  Contacts patients as needed, to reschedule/schedule follow up appointments, Responds to all voicemails and task basket on a timely basis.  Acts as desk/patient guidance, which includes but not limited to providing information to patients with questions, providing directions.  Schedules appointments.  Monitors task basket on a daily basis; processes pharmacy requests.  Based in Blue Ash.  Requires HS grad with previous medical office experience.  Previous ophthalmic experience a real plus.

Nurse Assistant – ASC

Part time position, approx. 20 hrs/week.  Assists with nursing and non-nursing related duties in the ASC.  Performs clerical and housekeeping related duties in Pre-Op/PACU.  Stocks areas, properly disposes of sharps containers, cleans and disinfects stretchers, equipment, etc. as needed.  Other duties as assigned.  May work occasional Saturdays.  Requires HS grad.  Previous nurse assisting experience helpful.  Must have current CPR certification.

Ophthalmic Tech

This 4 day/week position in Glaucoma performs initial test/screens for patients, including CC, HPI, visual acuity, tonometry, etc. May also scribe, facilitate, manage task baskets, conduct patient communication/return calls.     Requires excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently, attention to detail, strong computer and phone skills.  Based at Clifton Medical Arts Building.  Requires HS grad.  Previous experience, COA, or COT strongly preferred.

surgical tech

Full and part time positions.  This position establishes the sterile field and prepares all sterile equipment used for a particular operative procedure.  May also act as first surgical assistant to the surgeon.  Gathers all supplies needed for surgery.  Checks that all equipment is functioning properly prior to the start of each surgery.  Assists in restocking of supplies and turnover of rooms.  Requires completion of accredited surgical technician course or equivalent work experience.  Must have current CPR certification.  Must have at least six months previous surgical technician experience.  CST preferred.  Initially based in Blue Ash with regular travel to west side location.  Must have reliable transportation.

Ophthalmic Tech- Anterior Segment Float

This position performs initial test/screens for patients, including CC, HPI, visual acuity, tonometry, etc. Will also scribe, facilitate, manage task baskets, conduct patient communication/return calls.     Requires excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently, attention to detail, strong computer and phone skills.  Based at Blue Ash with occasional travel to other offices.  Must have reliable transportation.  Requires HS grad.  Previous experience, COA, or COT strongly preferred.

Ophthalmic Technician
