Ophthalmic Tech

Full time position in oculoplastics.  This position performs initial test/screens for patients, including refractions, CC, HPI, visual acuity, tonometry, etc.  May also scribe, facilitate, manage task baskets, conduct patient communication/return calls.  Requires excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently, attention to detail, strong computer and phone skills.    Based at Blue Ash with regular travel to NKY.  Must have reliable transportation.  Requires HS grad.  Previous experience required.  COA, or COT strongly preferred.

Study Coordinator

Conducts clinical research as outlined in study protocol, assists in study selection, communicates with sponsor, manages study site, completes source documentation and case report forms, prepares for study monitor visits, reviews and follows GCP guidelines, maintains study related certifications.  Also will serve as work up technician.  This list is not all inclusive.  Position requires HS grad with previous medical office experience, previous study experience strongly preferred.  Must have high attention to detail, strong computer skills, proven ability to prioritize, maintain organization, and meet deadlines.  Based in NKY office.

Ophthalmic Tech

Full time position in busy comprehensive clinic.  This position performs initial test/screens for patients, including refractions, CC, HPI, visual acuity, tonometry, etc.  May also scribe, facilitate, manage task baskets, conduct patient communication/return calls.  Requires excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently, attention to detail, strong computer and phone skills.    Based at Anderson with regular travel to Clermont, Red Bank, and Blue Ash offices.  Must have reliable transportation.  Requires HS grad.  Previous experience required.  COA, or COT strongly preferred.

Surgical Scrub Tech

This position:

  • Establishes the sterile field and prepares all sterile equipment used for a particular operative procedure.
  • May also act as first surgical assistant to the surgeon.
  • Gathers all supplies needed for surgery.
  • Checks that all equipment is functioning properly prior to the start of each surgery.
  • Assists in restocking of supplies.

Based at our Blue Ash location with occasional travel to other locations.  Requires completion of accredited surgical technician course or equivalent work experience.  Must have current CPR certification.  Must have at least six months previous surgical technician experience.  CST preferred. Must have reliable transportation.

Patient Services Professional

This position is one of CEI’s first opportunities to make a great impression. Meets/greets patients upon arrival at check in. Ensures patient information is obtained and entered into the practice management system prior to the patient seeing the physician/receiving services. Scans patient insurance cards and collects co-pays/deductibles. Ensures paperwork/follow up appointments are made at check out.  Full time with some Saturdays. Requires a HS grad with previous data input experience and at least one year office experience. Previous medical office and/or customer service experience a plus. Candidate must be able to maintain a friendly, calm demeanor even during busy periods. May occasionally float to other locations (all within Greater Cincinnati) as needed.  Must have reliable transportation.

Ophthalmic Tech Trainee

Great opportunity for one who desires to become an ophthalmic technician.  Will participate in a 8 week training program through various specialty departments, while also taking advantage of home study opportunities.  Upon completion of program, will be placed in a department with a technician opening.  Training will be primarily M-F, but may involve occasional Saturdays and/or evenings.  When training is complete, placement position will likely involve at least one late evening and rotating Saturdays.  Requires HS grad.  Previous medical office experience preferred.  Must have a true desire to work with patients.  Requires patience and compassion, along with attention to detail.  Expectation is for candidate to pass COA exam within 18 months.  Upon completion of training program, candidate must be willing/able to accept a placement at any of our locations.

Ophthalmic Tech

Full time position for busy Cataract/Cornea surgeon. This position performs initial test/screens for patients, including refractions, CC, HPI, visual acuity, tonometry, etc.  May also scribe, facilitate, manage task baskets, conduct patient communication/return calls.  Requires excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently, attention to detail, strong computer and phone skills.    Based at Blue Ash with potential travel to other locations.  Must have reliable transportation.  Requires HS grad.  Previous experience required.  COA, or COT strongly preferred.

RN

Full time positions provides care for patients and maintains a calm operating atmosphere while anticipating surgeons’ needs.  Duties include:

  • Will work in pre-op, OR, and/or recovery.
  • May help check-in patients for OR and/or laser treatments- YAG, Argon, and SLT.
  • May check the patient chart for accuracy, prepare the holding room for the patient, ensure instruments are ready for procedures.
  • May complete H&P and nurse assessments; administer drops into the eyes as ordered by the surgeon, make pre operative phone calls to patients, and/or schedule future appointments for patients in our practice management system as needed.

Requires Ohio RN license and CPR certification. Computer experience preferred. Pre-op/OR/post-op experience preferred. ACLS preferred. Based in Blue Ash with regular travel to west side location.  Must have reliable transportation.

Ophthalmic Technician

This position performs initial test/screens for patients, including CC, HPI, visual acuity, tonometry, etc. May also scribe, facilitate, manage task baskets, conduct patient communication/return calls.  Requires excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently, attention to detail, strong computer and phone skills.  May include one late night a week plus occasional Saturday mornings.  Based at Blue Ash office with occasional travel to other locations (all within Greater Cincinnati).  Must have reliable transportation.  Requires HS grad.  Previous experience, COA, or COT strongly preferred.
