Patient Services Professional – NKY

This position is one of CEI’s first opportunities to make a great impression!

  • Meets/greets patients upon arrival at check in.
  • Schedules appointments, handles questions from callers.
  • Ensures patient information is obtained and entered into the practice management system prior to the patient seeing the physician/receiving services.
  • Scans patient insurance cards and collects copays.
  • Ensures paperwork/follow up appointments are made at check out.

Position is based in NKY.  Requires a HS grad with previous data input experience and at least one year office experience. Previous medical office and/or customer service experience a plus. Candidate must be able to maintain a friendly, calm demeanor even during busy periods. May float to other offices...must have reliable transportation.

Patient Intake Representative

This position is truly our first contact with our patients; therefore, making a great first impression is paramount.  Responsibilities include: promptly answer, triage, and direct incoming calls from patients, employees and other health professionals in a professional and polite manner; schedule patient appointments following scheduling guidelines and approved script while adhering to patient confidentiality at all times; direct messages to appropriate staff ensuring that messages are clear and distributed promptly.  Also will prepare and mail patient packets within one day of scheduling; handle inquiries about directions, hours, services, locations, and physicians.  Position requires patient, physician, staff, vendor, and general public telephonic contact.  Must exhibit pleasant phone voice, good manners, be professional in conduct, and have the ability to listen.  Must also demonstrate skill in operating a computer and answering a multi-line phone system and type 35 wpm.   Requires HS grad.  Previous medical office experience preferred.

Scribe

4 days/week.  This position assists the ophthalmologist with patient care by accurately and effectively document the patient exam via electronic medical record during the exam.  Maintains consistency and flow with the doctor’s daily schedule for highest level of clinic efficiency.  Handles escrips according to the doctor’s specifications.  Requires HS grad and will require attainment of Certified Medical Scribe Specialist within 60 days of employment.  Previous medical office and data input experience very helpful.

Optometrist

This position performs ocular exams to diagnose/manage vision problems & eye diseases. May provide pre/post-operative care.  Must exhibit strong communication skills and be able to work well with MDs, other ODs, and staff.  May be assigned to our Blue Ash Urgent Eye Clinic (UEC) where variety is the standard, or may be assigned to a particular sub-specialty, depending on previous training and experience.  Requires an Optometry Degree (OD) and current OH license.  KY and/or IN license a plus.   Previous practice experience preferred.  Experience with NextGen helpful.

Ophthalmic Tech

Full time position in Retina. Performs initial test/screens for patients, including CC, HPI, visual acuity, tonometry, etc. May also scribe, facilitate, manage task baskets, conduct patient communication/return calls. Requires excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently, attention to detail, strong computer and phone skills. Scheduled 5 days a week. Based at the BA office. May float to other retina areas. Must have reliable transportation and positive attitude. Requires HS grad. Previous experience, COA, or COT strongly preferred.

Patient Portal Specialist

This position is responsible for the ongoing support and maintenance of our EHR Patient Portal System.  Provides telephone support for patients needing assistance.  Manages portal templates, documents, and functionality.  Performs regular configuration checks and conducts troubleshooting as needed.  Assists the HIM dept in all aspects of scanning and telephone support.  Position requires HS grad (Assoc degree preferred) along with at least one year of medical office experience.  Position is sedentary in nature; the majority of the time is work performed while on the phone.  Must be able to maintain calm, reassuring demeanor.  Interest and familiarity with computers and software a plus.

OPHTHALMIC TECH (satellite float)

Full time position.  Great opportunity for one who likes variety.  This position performs initial test/screens for patients, including CC, HPI, visual acuity, tonometry, etc. May also scribe, facilitate, manage task baskets, conduct patient communication/return calls.   Requires excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently, attention to detail, strong computer and phone skills.  Based at the RedBank office, will float to satellite offices on a regular basis.  Must have reliable transportation.  Requires HS grad.  Previous experience, COA, or COT strongly preferred.

Full time position.  This position performs initial test/screens for patients, including CC, HPI, visual acuity, tonometry, etc for glaucoma surgeons. May also scribe, facilitate, manage task baskets, conduct patient communication/return calls.     Requires excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently, attention to detail, strong computer and phone skills.  Based at Blue Ash. May float to other locations as needed.  Must have reliable transportation.  Requires HS grad.  Previous experience, COA, or COT strongly preferred.

Ophthalmic Technician
