RN ASC

Full time and part time (20 hrs/week) positions available.  Provides care for patients and a calm operating atmosphere while anticipating surgeons’ needs. Will work in pre-op, OR, and/or recovery.  Duties include:

  • Check-in patients for OR and/or laser treatments- YAG, Argon, and SLT.
  • Check the patient chart for accuracy, prepare the holding room for the patient, ensure instruments are ready for procedures.
  • Complete H&P and nurse assessments; administer drops into the eyes as ordered by the surgeon, make pre operative phone calls to patients, and/or schedule future appointments for patients in our practice management system as needed.

Requires Ohio RN license and CPR certification. Computer experience preferred. OR experience preferred. ACLS preferred.  Based in Blue Ash with regular travel to west side location.  May include some Saturdays.  Must have flexibility in scheduling and reliable transportation.

Ophthalmic Tech- Anterior Segment Float

This position performs initial test/screens for patients, including CC, HPI, visual acuity, tonometry, etc. Will also scribe, facilitate, manage task baskets, conduct patient communication/return calls.     Requires excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently, attention to detail, strong computer and phone skills.  Based at Blue Ash with occasional travel to other offices.  Must have reliable transportation.  Requires HS grad.  Previous experience, COA, or COT strongly preferred.

Patient Accounts Billing Specialist

Full time.  Processes and collects payments from various insurance companies on services rendered by the physicians.  HS grad required with at least 1yr medical billing experience required.  Knowledge of HMO, PPO, Medicare, Medicaid and WC also required. Prefer experience in coding; knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 codes also a must.

Ophthalmic Tech

Full time position at our North Bend location.  This position performs initial test/screens for patients, including CC, HPI, visual acuity, tonometry, etc. Will also scribe, facilitate, manage task baskets, conduct patient communication/return calls.     Requires excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently, attention to detail, strong computer and phone skills.  Based at North Bend office with occasional travel to other offices.  Must have reliable transportation.  Requires HS grad.  Previous experience, COA, or COT strongly preferred.

Ophthalmic Tech (Trainee)

Full time position.  Great opportunity for one who desires to become an ophthalmic technician.  Will participate in a 8 week training program through various specialty departments, while also taking advantage of home study opportunities.  Upon completion of program, will be placed in a department with a technician opening.  Training will be primarily M-F, but may involve occasional Saturdays and/or evenings.  When training is complete, placement position will likely involve at least one late evening and rotating Saturdays.  Requires HS grad.  Previous medical office experience preferred.  Must have a true desire to work with patients.  Requires patience and compassion, along with attention to detail.  Expectation is for candidate to pass COA exam within 18 months.  Upon completion of training program, candidate must be willing/able to accept a placement at any of our locations.  Must have reliable transportation.

Scribe/Tech

This position will primarily scribe for busy clinic.  Will also serve as tech as needed.  Thus will enter data into patient records system as the clinic visit is occurring.  Additionally will perform initial test/screens for patients, including CC, HPI, visual acuity, tonometry, etc. May also facilitate, manage task baskets, conduct patient communication/return calls.     Requires excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently, attention to detail, strong computer and phone skills.  Based at NKY office.  Requires HS grad.  Previous experience, COA, or COT strongly preferred.

Ophthalmic Tech

This full time position in Glaucoma performs initial test/screens for patients, including CC, HPI, visual acuity, tonometry, etc. Will also scribe, facilitate, manage task baskets, conduct patient communication/return calls.     Requires excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently, attention to detail, strong computer and phone skills.  Based at Blue Ash with regular travel to NKY office.  Must have reliable transportation.  Requires HS grad.  Previous experience, COA, or COT strongly preferred.

patient intake representative

This position is truly our first contact with our patients; therefore, making a great first impression is paramount.  Responsibilities include: promptly answer, triage, and direct incoming calls from patients, employees and other health professionals in a professional and polite manner; schedule patient appointments following scheduling guidelines and approved script while adhering to patient confidentiality at all times; direct messages to appropriate staff ensuring that messages are clear and distributed promptly.  Also will prepare and mail patient packets within one day of scheduling; handle inquiries about directions, hours, services, locations, and physicians.  Position requires patient, physician, staff, vendor, and general public telephonic contact.  Must exhibit pleasant phone voice, good manners, be professional in conduct, and have the ability to listen.  Must also demonstrate skill in operating a computer and answering a multi-line phone system and type 35 wpm.   Requires HS grad.  Previous medical office experience preferred.

Surgery Coordinator

Full time position.  Responsible for coordinating surgical scheduling and patient counseling for busy NKY cornea surgeon.  Also provides the insurance billing department information to properly bill the patient’s surgery.  Is responsible for the preparation of all necessary paperwork including consent forms, scheduling forms required by ASC or outside facility, obtains pre-certification from insurance carriers, maintains surgeon surgical calendar, and notifies all individuals with need to know of schedule changes/cancellations/ surgeon out time.  Based in NKY.   Requires HS grad with previous medical office/scheduling experience.  Must have good computer and phone skills and attention to detail.  Previous ophthalmic experience preferred.

Optometrist

This position performs ocular exams to diagnose/manage vision problems & eye diseases. May provide pre/post-operative care.  Must exhibit strong communication skills and be able to work well with MDs, other ODs, and staff.  May be assigned to our Blue Ash Urgent Eye Clinic (UEC) where variety is the standard, or may be assigned to a particular sub-specialty, depending on previous training and experience.  Requires an Optometry Degree (OD) and current OH license.  KY and/or IN license a plus.   Previous practice experience preferred.  Experience with NextGen helpful.

Ophthalmic Technician

This position performs initial test/screens for patients, including CC, HPI, visual acuity, tonometry, etc. May also scribe, facilitate, manage task baskets, conduct patient communication/return calls.  Requires excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently, attention to detail, strong computer and phone skills.  May include one late night a week plus occasional Saturday mornings.  Based at Blue Ash office with occasional travel to other locations (all within Greater Cincinnati).  Must have reliable transportation.  Requires HS grad.  Previous experience, COA, or COT strongly preferred.
