VF and Ophthalmic Tech

Approx 36 hrs/week.  This position will perform Goldman Visual Fields for oculoplastics patients as well as perform initial test/screens for patients, including CC, HPI, visual acuity, tonometry, etc. May also scribe, facilitate, manage task baskets, conduct patient communication/return calls.     Requires excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently, attention to detail, strong computer and phone skills.  Based at Blue Ash.  Requires HS grad.  Previous experience, COA, or COT strongly preferred.

Surgical Scrub Technician

This part time (20 hrs/week) position establishes the sterile field and prepares all sterile equipment used for a particular operative procedure.  May also act as first surgical assistant to the surgeon.  Gathers all supplies needed for surgery.  Checks that all equipment is functioning properly prior to the start of each surgery.  Assists in restocking of supplies.  Requires completion of accredited surgical technician course or equivalent work experience.  Must have current CPR certification.  Must have at least six months previous surgical technician experience.  CST preferred.

Pharmacy Technician

This full time position provides support to the Compounding Pharmacist by assisting with sterile compounding procedures and by performing clerical, customer service, and housekeeping duties to ensure the pharmacy runs smoothly. Work week is Mon-Fri.  Position requires Certified Pharmacy Technician with experience in sterile compounding.

Ophthalmic Tech

Full time in glaucoma.  Performs initial history taking test/screens of glaucoma patients. May also perform scribe duties.  May assist in handling patient tasks from intake /dictation review and prescription refills.   May float within the glaucoma pod.   Based in Blue Ash and may travel to other locations as needed.  Must have reliable transportation.    Requires HS grad and great attitude.  Previous experience strongly preferred.  COA a plus.

Ophthalmic Tech

Full time Anterior Segment Float.  Full time position.  Terrific opportunity for one who prefers variety.  Will work in various departments/locations as needed.  Performs initial test/screens for patients, including refractions/a-scans; keratometry, visual fields. May also scribe.   May work occasional Saturdays and one late night a week.  Based in Blue Ash. May travel to other sites as needed.  Requires HS grad.  Previous experience helpful.  COA or COT preferred.   Must have reliable transportation and a positive attitude.

Patient Intake Representative

Full time position.  This position is truly our first contact with our patients; therefore, making a great first impression is paramount.  Responsibilities include: promptly answer, triage, and direct incoming calls from patients, employees and other health professionals in a professional and polite manner; schedule patient appointments following scheduling guidelines and approved script while adhering to patient confidentiality at all times; direct messages to appropriate staff ensuring that messages are clear and distributed promptly.  Also will prepare and mail patient packets within one day of scheduling; handle inquiries about directions, hours, services, locations, and physicians.  Position requires patient, physician, staff, vendor, and general public telephonic contact.  Must exhibit pleasant phone voice, good manners, be professional in conduct, and have the ability to listen.  Must also demonstrate skill in operating a computer and answering a multi-line phone system and type 35 wpm.   Requires HS grad.  Previous medical office experience preferred.

Patient Services Professional

This position is one of CEI’s first opportunities to make a great impression!

  • Meets/greets patients upon arrival at check in.
  • Ensures patient information is obtained and entered into the practice management system prior to the patient seeing the physician/receiving services.
  • Scans patient insurance cards and collects copays.
  • Ensures paperwork/follow up appointments are made at check out.

Position is based in Blue Ash and will regularly float to other locations as needed.  Requires a HS grad with previous data input experience and at least one year office experience. Previous medical office and/or customer service experience a plus. Candidate must be able to maintain a friendly, calm demeanor even during busy periods. Must have reliable transportation.

Optometrist

This position performs ocular exams to diagnose/manage vision problems & eye diseases. May provide pre/post-operative care.  Must exhibit strong communication skills and be able to work well with MDs, other ODs, and staff.  May be assigned to our Blue Ash Urgent Eye Clinic (UEC) where variety is the standard, or may be assigned to a particular sub-specialty, depending on previous training and experience.  Requires an Optometry Degree (OD) and current OH license.  KY and/or IN license a plus.   Previous practice experience preferred.  Experience with NextGen helpful.

OPHTHALMIC TECH (satellite float)

Full time position.  Great opportunity for one who likes variety.  This position performs initial test/screens for patients, including CC, HPI, visual acuity, tonometry, etc. May also scribe, facilitate, manage task baskets, conduct patient communication/return calls.   Requires excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently, attention to detail, strong computer and phone skills.  Based at the RedBank office, will float to satellite offices on a regular basis.  Must have reliable transportation.  Requires HS grad.  Previous experience, COA, or COT strongly preferred.

Ophthalmic Technician

This position performs initial test/screens for patients, including CC, HPI, visual acuity, tonometry, etc. May also scribe, facilitate, manage task baskets, conduct patient communication/return calls.  Requires excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently, attention to detail, strong computer and phone skills.  May include one late night a week plus occasional Saturday mornings.  Based at Blue Ash office with occasional travel to other locations (all within Greater Cincinnati).  Must have reliable transportation.  Requires HS grad.  Previous experience, COA, or COT strongly preferred.
