Patient Intake Representative

This position is truly our first contact with our patients; therefore, making a great first impression is paramount.  Responsibilities include:

  • promptly answer, triage, and direct incoming calls from patients, employees and other health professionals in a professional and polite manner;
  • schedule patient appointments following scheduling guidelines and approved script while adhering to patient confidentiality at all times;
  • direct messages to appropriate staff ensuring that messages are clear and distributed promptly.
  • Also will prepare and mail patient packets within one day of scheduling; handle inquiries about directions, hours, services, locations, and physicians.

Position requires patient, physician, staff, vendor, and general public telephonic contact.  Must exhibit pleasant phone voice, good manners, be professional in conduct, and have the ability to listen.  Must also demonstrate skill in operating a computer and answering a multi-line phone system and type 35 wpm.   Requires HS grad.  Previous medical office experience preferred.

RN

Full time and part time (20 hrs/week) positions provides care for patients and maintains a calm operating atmosphere while anticipating surgeons’ needs.  Duties include:

  • Will work in pre-op, OR, and/or recovery.
  • May help check-in patients for OR and/or laser treatments- YAG, Argon, and SLT.
  • May check the patient chart for accuracy, prepare the holding room for the patient, ensure instruments are ready for procedures.
  • May complete H&P and nurse assessments; administer drops into the eyes as ordered by the surgeon, make pre operative phone calls to patients, and/or schedule future appointments for patients in our practice management system as needed.

Requires Ohio RN license and CPR certification. Computer experience preferred. Pre-op/OR/post-op experience preferred. ACLS preferred. Based in Blue Ash with regular travel to west side location.  Must have reliable transportation.

Ophthalmic Tech

New position in our oculoplastics area.  This position performs initial test/screens for patients, including CC, HPI, visual acuity, tonometry, etc. May also scribe, facilitate, manage task baskets, conduct patient communication/return calls.  Requires excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently, attention to detail, strong computer and phone skills.  Will work Mondays and Wednesdays (2 10hr days).  May grow into more hours over time.  Based at Clifton (Good Sam) location with regular travel to Blue Ash, NKY, and Westside locations.  Must have reliable transportation.  Requires HS grad.  Previous experience, COA, or COT strongly preferred.

Scribe/Tech

This position will scribe in a busy clinic. There are also tech and administrative responsibilities. Scribe functions include data entry into electronic patient record system as the clinic visit is occurring.  In some clinics, activities will include initiation of patient encounters with CC, HPI, visual acuity, tonometry, etc. Responsibilities also include management of task baskets and performance of patient communication/return calls. This position requires excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task, and ability to manage time efficiently. Attention to detail, strong computer ability and phone skills are important. There are some evening and Saturday hours. Requires HS grad.  Previous experience including COA, may be helpful, but is not required. Based in Clifton office.

Ophthalmic Tech

Working for comprehensive surgeon on the west side, this position performs initial test/screens for patients, including CC, HPI, visual acuity, tonometry, etc. May also scribe, facilitate, manage task baskets, conduct patient communication/return calls.  Requires excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently, attention to detail, strong computer and phone skills.  Based at West side location.  Must have reliable transportation.  Requires HS grad.  Previous experience, COA, or COT strongly preferred.

Ophthalmic Tech – Satellite Float

This position performs initial test/screens for patients, including CC, HPI, visual acuity, tonometry, etc. Will also scribe, facilitate, manage task baskets, conduct patient communication/return calls.     Requires excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently, attention to detail, strong computer and phone skills.  Will cover satellite vacancies on short or medium term basis.  Regular travel to other offices.  Must have reliable transportation.  Requires HS grad.  Previous experience required.  COA, or COT strongly preferred.

Nurse Assistant – ASC

Part time position, approx. 20 hrs/week.  Assists with nursing and non-nursing related duties in the ASC.  Performs clerical and housekeeping related duties in Pre-Op/PACU.  Stocks areas, properly disposes of sharps containers, cleans and disinfects stretchers, equipment, etc. as needed.  Other duties as assigned.  May work occasional Saturdays.  Requires HS grad.  Previous nurse assisting experience helpful.  Must have current CPR certification.

Ophthalmic Technician

This position performs initial test/screens for patients, including CC, HPI, visual acuity, tonometry, etc. May also scribe, facilitate, manage task baskets, conduct patient communication/return calls.  Requires excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently, attention to detail, strong computer and phone skills.  May include one late night a week plus occasional Saturday mornings.  Based at Blue Ash office with occasional travel to other locations (all within Greater Cincinnati).  Must have reliable transportation.  Requires HS grad.  Previous experience, COA, or COT strongly preferred.
