Urgent Eye Clinic
The Scott E. Burk Urgent Eye Clinic at Cincinnati Eye Institute offers acute eye care services for referring provider’s patients.
Patients must be referred by an optometrist, primary care doctor, hospital or local emergency care facilities. This Urgent Eye Clinic is NOT a 24/7 emergency room, rather an appointment-required service for patients with acute eye care issues that need care before they can seen by their established eye care professions.
Services the doctors in our Urgent Eye Clinic offer include culturing of corneal ulcers, removal of foreign bodies, abrasions/lacerations, herpes zoster (shingles), conjunctivitis, diplopia, papilledema/optic disc edema, as well as others.
Appointments are scheduled within 72 hours or as appropriate for more acute cases. Appointments can be scheduled by calling CE’s main number at 513-984-5133.
The Urgent Eye Care Clinic is located on the third floor of the main CEI building in Blue Ash (1945 CEI Drive). Hours of operation are Monday – Friday 8 am – 5 pm and Saturday from 8 am – 12pm.
Peer-to-Peer communication: Allows referring doctors to communicate directing with the CEI on-site triage doctor.
