Urgent Ophthalmology

CEI’s Scott E. Burk Urgent Eye Clinic is an appointment-required service for patients who are unable to wait to see their established eye care professional.

The clinic, located on the third floor of the Blue Ash office, is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Patients may call 513-984-5133 to schedule an appointment. Please note that on Saturdays, new patients must be referred by a doctor or hospital in order to be seen by the Urgent Eye Clinic.

In addition to the Urgent Eye Clinic, Cincinnati Eye Institute has an ophthalmologist who is “on call” 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Our doctors diagnose and treat patients with all types of eye conditions, including ocular trauma, conjunctivitis (“pink eye”), sudden blind spots, halos, flashes of light and foreign bodies in the eye, among others. The clinic has all the necessary testing equipment and doctors to care for patients.

The role of the Urgent Eye Clinic service is to triage and treat emergency ocular conditions and, if necessary, to refer to the appropriate sub-specialist. Many patients who are successfully treated require only this one visit.

The doctors at Cincinnati Eye Institute have either authored or reviewed the content on this site.
