Andrew D. Barfell, MD is a highly skilled ophthalmic surgeon specializing in advanced vision correction procedures, including LASIK, Implantable Collamer Lens (ICL), and premium cataract surgery with advanced technology lenses. Known for his precision, clinical expertise, and patient-centered approach, Dr. Barfell is dedicated to helping patients achieve clear, high-quality vision with customized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs and lifestyle.

Dr. Barfell completed his undergraduate studies at Cedarville University before earning his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. During his training, he developed a passion for the precision and complexity of eye surgery, which led him to pursue comprehensive training in ophthalmology.  Following residency training in Cincinnati, he pursued additional training in refractive surgery in Texas, South Carolina, and South Dakota.  He now focuses his practice on refractive and cataract surgery, remaining at the forefront of innovation in vision correction.  His expertise includes Custom LASIK, EVO ICL implantation, and the use of advanced technology intraocular lenses (IOLs) – such as Light Adjustable Lenses, Toric, multifocal and Extended Depth of Focus (EDOF) IOLs to help patients achieve a glasses-free lifestyle.

Outside of the Operating Room, Dr. Barfell enjoys biking the Loveland Trail, roasting coffee, and spending time with his wife (Kara) and their 4 children (Emmeline, Matthew, Luke, and Crew).
