Barbara Houde, O.D., M.Sc.

Dr. Houde earned her Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Montreal in 1994 and went on to complete a Primary Care Residency at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. She then received her Master’s Degree in Vision Science from the University of Montreal with Dean’s list of honors. Following, a one-year glaucoma fellowship was obtained at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Dr. Houde has served as a clinical instructor at the University of Montreal and at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. She has been involved in many research projects relating to glaucoma. She also went to teach clinical optometry to optometrists around the world including Germany, South Africa and Israel. She is fluent in English, French and Spanish.
Dr. Houde is certified by the International Board of Examiners in Optometry in the treatment and management of ocular diseases.
She lives in Loveland with her husband Kevin, also an optometrist, and their son Julian.
