Getting to Know Christina Wilson

Christina is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Originally from South Dakota, Christina graduated from Presentation College with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2000. She spent the next 14 years working as a registered nurse in a variety of military and civilian hospital settings, including intensive care, preoperative and postoperative surgical areas. In 2014, Christina graduated from Xavier University’s Family Nurse Practitioner program. Prior to joining Cincinnati Eye Institute she worked in a retail health setting, caring for acute and chronic conditions in both pediatrics and adults.

Christina understands that each patient is unique and has specific healthcare needs. By actively listening to her patients and understanding their complete health history, she is better able to provide them with the support, knowledge, and tools to empower them to take an active role in their health and better prepare them for their upcoming surgery.
