Get to Know Dr. Heimlich

Derek R. Heimlich, O.D., M.S., is an optometrist providing comprehensive care. He has an interest in managing glaucoma, dry eye, and post-operative patients. As part of his training, Dr. Heimlich completed a 13-month ocular disease residency at the Cincinnati Eye Institute following the completion of his Doctoral of Optometry and Masters of Vision Sciences degrees at The Ohio State University College of Optometry.

Born and raised in Ohio, Dr. Heimlich has a passion for OSU football. Outside of patient care, he also enjoys travel, spending time outdoors, and exploring Cincinnati restaurants.
