Michael L. Nordlund, M.D., Ph.D. is an ophthalmic surgeon specializing in cataract surgery including advanced lens implantation and corneal transplantation. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Clinical Governance Board Cincinnati Eye Institute Vision Partners (CVP). He also serves on the Executive Committee for CVP.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Nordlund has been published in numerous scientific papers and he has authored several chapters in textbooks on the ocular surface, cornea and cataract surgery. Dr. Nordlund continues to lecture at national and international meetings on corneal and ocular surface disease and cataract surgery. He is the immediate past Chair of the Medical Advisory Board for the Eye Bank Association of America, an organization in which he also has also served on the Board of Directors and as Chair of the Accreditation Committee. For his work with the EBAA, Dr. Nordlund received the prestigious Paton Award in 2017. Dr. Nordlund has been recognized by “Best Doctors in America” and has been elected into several honor societies including Alpha Omega Alpha and the Society for Heed Fellows.

Locally, Dr. Nordlund has served on the Board of Trustees for The Seven Hills Schools and as Chair of the CEI Foundation. When not working Dr. Nordlund enjoys spending time with his wife Lisa and their two children, Jessica and Michael.

Michael L. Nordlund, M.D., Ph.D. is an ophthalmic surgeon specializing in corneal and ocular surface disease, cataracts and refractive surgery. He currently serves as the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for Cincinnati Eye Institute.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Nordlund is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at University of Cincinnati. His work has been published in numerous scientific papers and he has authored several chapters in textbooks on the ocular surface, cornea and cataract surgery. Dr. Nordlund continues to lecture at national and international meetings on corneal and ocular surface disease and cataract surgery.
