Samantha Schockman, M.D.

Samantha L. Schockman, M.D. grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio. She graduated cum laude from Denison University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in biology. She returned to her native city to earn her medical degree from University of Cincinnati College of Medicine where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.
She completed her internship year in internal medicine at The Jewish Hospital- Mercy Health where she received the Special Recognition Award for Academic Achievement in Clinical Research for her multiple publications and presentations at the Association of Research in Vision and Ophthalmology. She then completed her Residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Cincinnati, serving as Chief Resident in her final year.
Following her residency, she completed a fellowship in Complex Cataract and Anterior Segment Surgery with Dr. Michael Snyder and Dr. Michael Hater at Cincinnati Eye Institute (CEI).
Dr. Schockman is a medical and surgical comprehensive ophthalmologist with a special interest in complex cataract and anterior segment surgery. She is a member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the Cincinnati Society of Ophthalmology.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Schockman enjoys playing soccer, traveling, and spending time with her family.
Dr. Schockman sees patients at the Blue Ash and Northern Kentucky locations.
