Deanna Ingrassia Miano, DO, is an ocular oncologist currently pursuing additional fellowship training in vitreoretinal surgery at the Cincinnati Eye Institute.

Dr. Miano was born and raised in New York. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from SUNY Geneseo and later completed a graduate degree in Biological and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology at St. John’s University. After years spent in stem cell research, she pursued her medical education at Michigan State University, where she graduated as Class President. She completed her ophthalmology residency at Henry Ford Health, serving as Chief Resident during her final year. Most recently, Dr. Miano completed her first fellowship in ocular oncology at Duke University.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Miano remains dedicated to research, education, and advocacy on behalf of her patients and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
