Dr. Auteri grew up in Northern Kentucky and was inspired to pursue a career in medicine by another well-known CEI ophthalmologist, Dr. Edward Holland.

He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Thomas More University. He then attended medical school at the University of Cincinnati, where he received the prestigious Dean’s Scholarship and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.

Dr. Auteri went on to ophthalmology residency at the Scheie Eye Institute at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Auteri was selected as the Chief Resident in his final year of residency.

He now returns for Cornea, External Disease, and Anterior Segment Fellowship under the direction of Dr. Holland, who originally sparked Dr. Auteri’s interest in ophthalmology.

Outside of work, Dr. Auteri enjoys spending time with his wife & their dog.
