Daniele P. Saltarelli, O.D.

Dr. Daniele Saltarelli completed his undergraduate education in biochemistry at McMaster University in his native land, Canada. In 2000, he obtained his doctoral degree from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, and then went on to receive his residency training at the Illinois Eye Institute in Chicago. Dr. Saltarelli moved to Cincinnati in 2003 to work in the Division of Pediatric Ophthalmology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.
During his time at Children’s, Dr. Saltarelli also served as clinical assistant professor to the Department of Ophthalmology, University of Cincinnati, and is credited with developing and directing the Pediatric Contact Lens Service, the UC Optometric Continuing Education Lecture Series, and the accredited Residency in Pediatric Optometry, the only pediatric optometry training program of its kind in the state of Ohio.
Through his career, Dr. Saltarelli has actively contributed in the areas of education, research and teaching. He is also a fellow and active participant- lecturer for the American Academy of Optometry. Recently he has worked overseas, becoming an official volunteer instructor to the Brien Holden Vision Institute in 2015 for his work in delivering educational workshops in India.
Dr. Saltarelli is joining the Urgent Care Clinic at the Blue Ash office.
