Daniele P. Saltarelli, O.D.

Dr. Saltarelli began practicing optometry in 2003 in the Division of Pediatric Ophthalmology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. During his time at Children’s, Dr. Saltarelli developed and directed the Pediatric Contact Lens Service, the UC Optometric Continuing Education Lecture Series, and the accredited Residency in Pediatric Optometry. He is a graduate of McMaster University (Ontario, Canada) and the New England College of Optometry in Boston. He is a fellow and participant-lecturer of the American Academy of Optometry.
Throughout his career, Dr. Saltarelli has actively contributed in the areas of education, research and teaching. He has served as an official volunteer instructor to the Brien Holden Vision Institute to deliver educational workshops in India, and has provided eye care in the impoverished regions of Haiti and Guatemala. To support his interest in international eye care, he is currently enrolled in global health training from the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health.
Dr. Saltarelli has practiced full time as co-director of the Cincinnati Eye Institute’s Urgent Eye Care Clinic in Blue Ash since 2016.
